Temple Aaron receives major grant for “Raise the Roof” campaign
June 13, 2024: We are thrilled to announce that Temple Aaron has been awarded a History Colorado State Historical Fund grant for phase I of its “Raise the Roof” campaign.
History Colorado will give $237,714 from the State Historical Fund for the project, which will be matched with $79,238 in Temple Aaron funds. In addition to replacing the original roof from 1889, the funding will also replace gutters and downspouts and complete cornice repairs and masonry restoration on the building. A $5000 Staenberg Foundation Anything Grant and JEWISHcolorado award has also been awarded; this will be used as a match to the State Historical Fund grant.
Temple Aaron plans to seek additional funding this year for the second half of the Raise the Roof campaign, which will allow completion of work not included in the first phase.
