and possibilities of growing older.
This series will be held Monday evenings at 6 pm MT on Zoom. All are welcome.
Rabbi Richard Address is a very well known rabbi, author and speaker on the topic of Jewish Sacred Aging. Please read about him and his work HERE.
Sessions will include:
Jan. 6: Four Values that Form a Spiritual Foundation for our Own Aging
Jan. 13: A Jewish Approach to Health and Wellness: Our texts that inform us on physical and mental health
Jan. 20: Making Sacred Decisions As Life Ebbs: An examination of our text and tradition as they approach and guide on issues of end of life and medical ethics
Jan. 27: New Rituals For New Life Stages: A look at the growing number of new prayers and rituals being created to support the new life stages granted by longevity, for example: signing an advanced directive, older adult cohabitation , Kaddish for an abusive parent, redefining adultery in light of dementia/Alzheimers

Friday, Dec. 27: Shabbat Service and Potluck
Hanukkah Candle lighting at 4:30
Shabbat Service: 5 pm
Shabbat Kiddush: 6 pm – Potluck -- please bring a vegetarian or vegan dish to share
Saturday, Dec. 28: “Lit” Hanukkah party at Historic Temple Aaron
Shabbat Service: 10:00 am (optional)
Potluck lunch: 11:30 am (optional) - please bring a dish to share
"Lit" Hanukkah party: 6 pm
Rabbi Joe "JC" Charnes and AC Cutler will be hosting a "LIT" Hanukkah party for one and all.
Latkes will be served, candles will be fired up, music and singing will ring out, a deep dreidel play-off with prizes for winners will be spun! Extra dishes or beverages are welcome to round out the feast.
Schedule:
6 pm: Lots o’latkes!! Hot off the griddle with applesauce and sour cream.
6:45 – explanation of Hanukkah customs, singing, and lighting candles. AC will teach Rock of Ages and lead other songs.
7:15: official Dreidel competition (with prizes!)
Live music – traditional Hanukkah songs and others
And did we mention latkes?
